As stated by other reviewers this location has all that you could want. It is right at the heart of the TST district with easy walking to all transport - train, bus, ferry. The price is unmissable for the location. It is REALLY important that you can climb two flights of stairs initially to the reception and that you or someone with ypu can manage your case up the stairs. From reception there is a lift to the rest of the hotel. The rooms are small but that is the same for all of HK - regardless of price. It pays to be neat and organised in HK rooms. I booked by direct email communication with the hotel and this was managed with excellent English in response. I did not need to pay a booking fee in advance, just had to ring three days before to confirm arrival. The receptionist does not understand complex English, but is very friendly and helpful and provides good supervision of the reception. When you leave they will look after your bags in reception. If there is more than one of you together they lock your cases together with a chain and cover them with cloth so no one can just walk by and take them. They have plenty of pamphlets for tourist activities if you have come unprepared as to what you want to do. They are registered with the HK tourist bureau which is why security is excellent and standards are high. The Kowloon Park opposite is worth spending at least a couple of mornings exploring and watching taichi classes - some with fans and swords. They also have guided bird watching groups in the Kowloon Park and there is a pool there if you wish to swim. A little fresh fruit juice stand and local bakeries near the base of the building provide excellent breakfast stops. MacDonalds Cafe is the best, cheapest decent coffee if you must have a morning fix. Lots of eateries which are reasonable priced nearby. A mosque and a large English speaking Anglican/Episcopalian church are round the cormer in Nathan Road if you are wanting this. Yes - the tvs are small - but hey, you are in HK what are you doing watching tv? Get out and explore.

Louie Business Hotel is smack in the middle of the shopping district at TST so a step beyond the building and everything you would ever need is at a arm's length - literally! The big shopping haven - Harbour Plaza is a couple of block's walk, Kowloon Park is right across the street and oodles of shopping places right at your doorstep! The TST MTR station is also only a few steps away so travelling is fast and easy. This hotel's lobby is located on the second floor of the building - which is also a residential condo. There is NO elevator on the ground floor, so you need to take the stairs to reach the reception. This would be a pain if you're travelling with lots of luggage, and also when at the end of a full day of shopping and touring when your feet is dead tired it can be a bit exhausting. The receptionist doesn't speak english well (or may be difficult to dicepher as with almost everyone in HK).. at times it is very hard to understand her but she's very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are cheap but very clean. But I also think that the rooms (at least for the regular HK folk / native) are the normal standard size of residential rooms since HK is crowded and residences are cramped. Rooms are kept clean everyday with provisions for towels, hand and body liquid soap, toothbrush and toothpaste. No complimentary drinks. There is no microwave but there is a fridge under the table (not a mini-bar), and a kettle for boiling water. You can ask for a power adapter for a small deposit to be returned to you on your check-out date, so no need to buy one. The TV was very small and mounted on top of the bed like in a hospital. There isn't cable and the signal was abysmal. There is no heater in the room but there is an adequate A/C. Walls are paper thin so you'll hear almost everything on the other rooms - from talking to flushing of toilets. Indeed, you'll know when the other guests are taking a bath or taking number 2 hahahaha. It is not recommended that you smoke inside the room, as it is very small that you will only suffocate yourself... there is a hallway outside where you can smoke, but there is no ashtray (but maybe you can ask for it from the receptionist). It was strange when police came knocking on our door. But we found out it was routine and that they were only checking if the guests are doing fine and not had any criminal problems. Still weirded me out though. The shower can be hot or cold and the water pressure was decent. The littlest sink in the world splashes water everywhere but there are bathroom mats on the floor.. but still it sucked washing your face since water will be dripping. Again let me remind you that this hotel is almost dirt cheap especially since its location is so brilliant that I don't mind all the other "quirks" and also, for a leisure stay at HK, you wouldn't be hanging around your hotel room for long except for sleeping! Yes, the rooms are small, and Yes there are NO WINDOWS in the standard rooms (but there are rooms available with windows), and so on and so on... BUT the location of the hotel is fantastic.. and the price so low... I won't hesitate coming back.
