TLDR; this place serves as a br*thel and is used by pimps. DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN OR FAMILY HERE. I saw another review on here aptly summarise this place as "rotten to death". I can't really beat that description, except to add that this place actively serves as a brothel. So I will start with this issue first. Twice throughout our stay it was evident the room next door was being used by two different pimps. The first pimp and the s*x worker accompanying him operated in the daytime. He had booked two different rooms in the hotel, one for him to wait in whilst the s*x worker worked, and the other for the deed to take place. On this occasion, the room next door was being used for said deed. Men were going in and out of the room all day, for three days. We told front desk and they couldn't care less, very clear they are complicit in this illegal activity. Towards the end of our stay, another pimp booked into the hotel. On our last night we were utterly horrified at the noise on our floor - doors crashing open and closed and loud discussions from 10PM-3AM. The pimp had again, booked multiple rooms in the hotel. The noise were the multiple women s*x workers going from our floor, to another floor. Then the pimp leaving the room next to us to go and retrieve the women from the rooms where the transactions were taking place, and then coming back to our floor. And over and over again. Poor women must have been taken up and down 10-12 times throughout the entire night. The noise was so outrageous my partner went outside to ask them to quieten down. Both the pimp and s*x worker accompanying him told my partner they were conducting "evening work" across multiple rooms of the hotel, and the staff knew. We told front desk and it was evident they knew that this place is serving as a brothel and are very complicit in the business. I was particularly horrified because I knew multiple small children were staying here across our stay and overlapping with when the pimp was conducting business. This is NOT a place to bring your family and children. And just know the room you are staying in has probably been used for s*x work. Pimping and organised prost*tution is HIGHLY illegal in Hong Kong. Upon arrival it was clear the room had not been cleaned. Hair, dust and dirt everywhere. Dust and dirt everywhere. All surfaces sticky to touch. The walls stained and mouldy. Dead flies all over the ceilings, walls and bathroom tiles. It took 6 days for housekeeping to clean our room. We also discovered flies in our bed. People were smoking in the room next door to us for 5 days straight. Smell of cigarettes plagued our room. Complained twice to reception, only to be gaslit and told nobody was smoking. Then the following two days another guest checked in and proceeding to set the fire alarm off TWICE due to smoking. The alarms (both an electric one and a bell) had me scared out of my skin. Fire exits are not clearly marked in the hotel so I was terrified. Despite numerous signs around the place saying since a law change, free water can no longer be provided due to a policy on disposables, all of the toiletries are, you guessed it, disposable. I have never been handed a one-time use disposable bath towel before, until I came here. Akin to wrapping yourself in a piece of kitchen roll. Tiny towel as well and being a five foot woman, I was surprised the towel merely covered my torso. Shampoo and bodywash dispensers in the bathroom completely empty. Very noisy at night with whirring of the A/C, fridge and air vents and lots of noise outside as well as from the hallway. Curtains are fairly pathetic. I would suggest bringing ear plugs and an eye mask to sleep here. Pretty depressing experience all round. I would suggest you spend a bit more and head to the Cordis across the road. Two weeks here was like two weeks on death row. This is the sort of place you book for someone you absolutely despise and want to punish. And if you come here, you will be staying in an active br*thel!

TLDR: Cons 1. Bad Service and Staff 2. Need to climb narrow flight of stairs to reception 3. Dirty and old furnitures 4. Not clean 5. Have to personally request for towels 6. Price is considered expensive for such service and quality given. Might as well spend a little more to book a 5-star hotel just opposite. 7. Poorly designed rooms and toilets. Pros 1. Location 2mins near MTR 2. Many traditional food stalls around + modern shopping malls I had booked this hotel for 4 nights in total. Upon arrival, I had to climb a flight of stairs to reach the reception. The stairs have narrow steps, and highly recommend travellers to bring smaller luggages. Check-in was smooth, however do note that a Deposit of HKD500 was required. The room seems uncleaned and dusty, chairs were also black and dusty, seems like it was not even cleaned at all. There were no towels given, only disposable ones. As we arrived late on the first night, everything seemed fine despite the old furnitures. However when I returned to the room the 2nd night close to 1am, to my horror, I noticed 2 huge bed bugs on my bed. I took photos of the bugs and went down to the reception to request for a change of room. However, it seems like the staff was sort of an intern and was not wearing any formal clothing. The staff did not know what to do or handle the situation and called the supervisor I suppose. They did not have any available rooms that night, and thus I requested for a refund. However as booking was done on Agoda, it was not possible for them to refund me. I also went around other hotels nearby to ask for any available rooms, but there was none. I had no choice but to return to the hotel that I've booked. I was informed that there would only be rooms available the next day after customers had checked out. I then asked the staff if they could go up to the rooms to see the room and see what else could be done. When we got up, the bugs were gone. But when the beds were flipped, we have no idea where the bugs source was from and there were many garbage under the bed. I asked the staff if they could provide bug spray, and help to clean and change the bed sheets and covers. The intern reluctantly did, however it seems he has not much experience, he walked around the room with his dirty shoes on, after telling him off, he then changed to the room slippers. The intern doesn't know how to even use a bug spray and I had to take it from him and do it myself. It was just a very stressful and frustrating experience. I barely had any sleep that night as I was afraid the bugs would crawl out again. Next day, I packed up and passed the luggage to the reception counter and was informed that they would help to bring the luggage to the new room in the afternoon. Their check-in time I believe was around 2pm/3pm. So I left my luggage with the reception and went out. When I came back at 5:30pm to drop my things off, I was told my room was not ready. I was stunned and in disbelief, I wondered if the staff even bothered to make sure things would be corrected after such a bad night. I asked the staff why our room was not ready? They told me that housekeeping is cleaning the rooms now. At 5:15pm, when official check-in time is early afternoon. So then I asked roughly how long is the waiting time. They told me 10 minutes. I waited. While waiting, other customers who have arrived later managed to check in earlier. I went to the reception and asked if there were any other rooms available? As I have already paid my booking, but my room is not ready. Should not they have put my room as a priority? So I asked which floor exactly is the allocated new room. I went up to that floor level, no housekeeping staff were there. So the receptionist was lying and holding up my time? When I was about to go back down to the receptionist, I met the housekeepers however they were going to another floor, not the same as my new allocated room. They were cleaning rooms for guests checking in later. While they had the whole afternoon to clean my new allocated room while I was away. So I went down again, and questioned the receptionist. I just felt their replies were all bs and they avoided eye contact. After waiting for almost 40minutes, I was informed that my room is ready, however it was ANOTHER floor, different from what was mentioned earlier. I guessed they indeed HAD other available rooms, just reluctant to provide as it was like a family room size. To be honest, I didn't mind paying extra if I had to since it was considered an upgrade, but their service was just terrible and I felt they are not bothered by the guests experience. When I went up to the room, the floors were still dirty, furnitures were dusty as well. I didn't look much as I was rushing to go out for an appointment. At night when I returned, the bathroom walls and tiles seems newly renovated, but the ceiling was not. There was even a hole (about a ping pong ball size) on the ceiling. As the floor was located on the highest floor, I was not too worried of peeking toms. But what if there were rats or bugs. It is open and can potentially be exposed to bugs or rats. Overall, very bad and frustrating experience.
