We were planning a trip to Budapest for mid-September and were highly interested in booking a stay at the Ikonik Parlament. However, we were shocked to find their rates to be completely unreasonable—even surpassing peak summer season pricing. While I understand the concept of dynamic pricing, the extreme markup here feels completely exploitative rather than standard business. This experience has left such a bad impression that it put a damper on our view of visiting Budapest entirely. To make matters worse, despite abandoning the search due to the offensive rates, the hotel has relentlessly spammed my inbox with automated tracking emails urging me to complete the booking. We responded and were offered a "gesture of goodwill" higher than published rates. We will be skipping this hotel entirely on principle and taking our business somewhere that respects potential guests. If you dislike aggressive price gouging and non-stop promotional spam, look elsewhere Budapest.
