Carat Boutique Hotel

We chose this hotel because of its location (right on the edge of the center and 2 minutes walk from metro). In the immediate vicinity some supermarkets and small restaurants. Reception in the hotel is very friendly, the rooms are clean and tidy (not the most modern) and for breakfast there is certainly plenty of choice. Many tasty sweets, but the choice of bread was slightly less. Cereals, yogurt, fruit, sausages meat toppings, even spirits and champagne. Unfortunately, the coffee maker failed after the first day and after repair it was not as good as before the repair (adjustment). Waiting staff did not seem very friendly, but that is the same throughout Budapest. Perhaps more the expression, it is certainly different from the neighboring countries. This hotel is definitely recommended if you want a good hotel! Price versus comfort and quality is definitely worth it! Our traveling party was two adults with child.

Location very central. Got the 100e bus from the airport for about 6 euros. My husband is over 65 so his bus fare was free. The hotel is literally a 3 minute walk from the bus.Very warm welcome from the hotel staff. We were there very early so could store our bags until the room was ready. Although the room was small it was spotless. Bathroom had everything we needed including a bath. There is a very tempting mini bar which was not very expensive but we disisted. Great night sleep on all 4 nights. There was absolutely no noise Breakfast was just lovely. Free tea and coffee available which was very welcome after the day sightseeing. There was a hop on hop bus kiosk outside the hotel which was very handy. We had hoped for a bar in the hotel but we're pleasantly surprised with the little one about 1 minute away from the hotel. There are many restaurants around the area also. Overall this was a really nice hotel. I will return at some stage

Just spent a delightful two nights here with my wife: our first visit to the city. The hotel is I think quite new, and very clean, well furnished and comfortable. Our room boasted a very comfortable bed, and all the amenities we needed. Although at the front overlooking the street it was quiet and we had two very good nights sleep. The dining room was big and spacious and the included breakfast very good: I had hot the first morning, and pastries and fruit the second, and both set us up for busy days of sightseeing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and took the time to help us mark on the (complementary) City map the things and places we intended to see, and told how long it was likely to take us to get to each one. The hotel location was perfect: we came in on the bus 100E from the airport terminal, and the hotel was no more than 100m from the final stop on the bus route. It's also no more than ten minutes stroll from the Must See attractions of St. Stephen's Basilica (with the saint's right hand displayed in a glass case; the rest of the cathedral is absolutely stunning inside and out); the River Danube and across the Szechenyi Bridge to the funicular up to the Fisherman's Redoubt and Buda City Old Town (a beautiful area with stunning views across the river); and the old Jewish Quarter that contains some of the most vibrant and entertaining bars and cafe's I've visited anywhere in Europe).
