Staff are very friendly and speak conversational English, which doesn't seem to be too common in Hungary, as all TV is dubbed, so a lot of people are not exposed. Rooms are huge, beds very comfortable, bathrooms have underfloor heating - great for cold weather. My room also had a sound system, unfortunately not many people travel with cd's or tapes any more. Breakfast is provided, typical continental breakfast. Hotel is a fair way from city centre but the tram is straight outside the door and public transport is cheap. Only 2 cons - first there is no lift, which if you have a heavy bag is a pain. Secondly, there are no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms. However each floor has a common area with a fridge and microwave (a kettle would also be handy) but I had brought my own cup and teabags as I find most hotels never supply enough for me, bought some milk and could heat the water in the microwave. Would definitely stay there again.

booked two night on this hotel with a friend, the guy on the reception is very miserable and not very helpful, no lights on the stairs, asked the guys wheres the light and just looked at me, so we carry on going up to this very dark stairs to the third floor where our room is. outside our room is a massive lounge and there's three men naked and find them very intimidating we were terrified rush towards our room quickly get in and lock the door. but even the door is not very secured very thin sort of door. as soon as we're in i broke down, shaking and disparate to get out, looking for a phone but there's no phone so i even more panicked, i gathered myself to find my mobile and itinerary to call the contact number but they're already close so i called the emergency number and managed to speak to a guy and told him whats going on he tried to calm me down, then told me to download an apps called bolt its equivalent to uber to get us to another accomodation which he suggest to find near the city to be sure we are safe, after finding a alternative accommodation we're out. i never been so scared in my whole life! they should change the name to HOSTEL TIMON

An ok place for a night, if all u need is to reach the airport quickly/ early/ late. 21€/night, no breakfast, depends on the room but u may suffer the noise from the street. Good value and clean. Owner may result a bit angry or strange but make him laugh and he will be the best guy ever:) Be aware of the voice “airport transfer”- it only means then can call u a taxi lol
