Kings Hotel

We are 4 friends who have gone and now we are on our way home from Budapest. We all go to high school, so we went for a cheap SU-friendly vacation. We found this hostel and booked a 4 man room with toilet (+there stood it was recently renovated... THAT WAS NOT THAT) for just over 2000kr per person for a week The bathroom: When we arrived there was “made clean.” There were many little black hairs on the bath curtain and in the bathtub, which, in addition, could not swallow the bath water, so you stood in a lake of dirt when you were in the bath and the ceiling of the bathroom was full of something that looked like a mushroom. We got a toilet paper roll for the week, and when it was empty, and we asked for another one, we got rejected that room service would come with a new one, and we got a small roll until then. Room service never came with a refilling of the toilet paper. The room: The room had an ok size, but there was no refrigerator as stated on the website. There were no curtains either!!! So the whole neighborhood could watch when we were changing clothes. We had a room with bunk beds, where there was a very tricky ladder up- luckily for us we are agile, but for people who do not have forced sports on the schedule, bed situation could well become a challenge. The service: was present sometime? It looked like many young people who controlled it, but often they just sat on the sidewalk and vaped (although it is illegal in Hungary?) for some time when the reservation just stood empty. The location of the hotel is really good, however, and it is the location that gives the 1 star - the rest do not really deserve some.

awful. If I could give zero stars I would, a horrific stay, avoid this place while you can. Terrible staff, customer service and atmosphere. Tried to reach out via email to sort out the issues during our stay over 2 weeks ago and no response or apology. Horrific false advertisement.

Stayed 2 nights with friends in a private room with bathroom, accommodation ok even though the room was dirty enough ☹️; under the beds there was full of dust and we even found an empty can, it looked just like the floor had not been cleaned. Bathroom ok and comfortable beds. Only one towel per person provided at check in, no towel change and room cleaning if you stay for less than 3 nights. The area is not the best although quite central; several clubs and restaurants are present in the area. Negative also the lack of TV in the room and unattended luggage storage. All in all, it is fine for short stays also considered the good price. You could definitely do better with little effort.
