Sas Club Hotel

We had a one night stop here, which was a great mistake. The price we got for a room was higher then what we payed for a new apartment soon after. That's one thing. Cleanliness is the second; mould and dirt everywhere, the shower curtain was brown and rotting, unpleasant stench coming from the walls. The so-called receptionist at night, a security guard was the third; disgusting manner, like if he was doing us a favour giving out the keys and anyways why we are disturbing him in doing nothing. Unacceptable. The money any guest pays for staying is the source of his salary. Never again

They have a daily lunch menu which is nice for good price. It’s an excellent choice for families, elder people, even for kids after school and for everyone who do not what to bother themselves with the everyday cooking :-) Their Sunday branch is very nice, especially when it’s served on the terrace under the grand sun umbrellas. They always have a wide selection of homemade style Hungarian dishes, sometimes BBQ and you can ask for extras as well. As we live close we never tried the hotel part of the complex. The place was one of the most prestigious club30 years ago with tennis court, now it’s an ordinary hotel with a nice restaurant with style and interior design from the eighties. I recommend the place as we go there very often. The couple, Ildikó and Miklós who are running the establishments are very nice people, and together with Zsuzsi they are taking good care of the guests in the restaurant area.

Great friendly staff, good clean room, great price for a late night arrival! Not far from the highway into the city! With breakfast and wi-fi!
