Hunguest Hotel Griff

Too much rubbish and breakfast is not suitable for eating. So never go here there is lots places for an overnight stay around just looking. Oh wait! Here is also some insects) So you will have beautiful neighbors :D

Hotel Griff is nice considering what you pay for it. The room was simple but tidy. Well cleaned. Bathroom likewise. Not very modern but I appreciate not every hotel is wasting money and environment in trying to keep their rooms 100% up to date. This hotel works well. Many electrical outlets for convenient charging of cell phone. Air conditioning worked well and was a bliss in the scorching summer heat. Wifi is a bit sketchy, it tends to hang after half an hour; less of a problem with the free roaming in the EU today. Staff is very friendly and most speaks english well. For some reason the tap water smell and taste a lot of chlorine, I don't know if the hotel chlorinates it's water or if it's the citys water supply. There is a tram stop just outside the hotel which takes you to nearest subway in 5 minutes and into city center in just 15 minutes. I would say it's no drawback that the hotel was a bit from the city center with communications this good. There is not much to see a few thee-four blocks from the hotel. But take the tram 3-4 stops and you'll have everything; bars, restaurants, shops. The hotel restaurant is the sad part. It has no ambitions. For a whole week the bread was dry, not fresh one single morning. Juice is closer to colored water than actual fruit juice. Constant ear-deafening rattle from the staff collecting used cutlery into stainless steel buckets. Entire restaurant lit by fluorescent tubes, it is the complete opposite to cozy.

I stayed 5 days. The room is normal but the bathroom sucks! No soap, no shampoo, very old and ruined. The Kitchen is always the same:chicken and potatoes. The working team IS really rude and not polite. It seems that tourists disturb them!!!! Absolutely avoid it.
