Budai Sport Hotel

We were forced to stay in this hotel during our group tour to Central Europe. The property is almost abandoned and has worn out and it appears that the management of the hotel has no plan to invest any penny to upgrade it. The flooring , beds, doors and every thing has become obsolete. It is not connected to city and you can't move out in case you do not have your own conveyance. Apart from this during the particular night there were lot of noises, crying etc. giving a feeling of some parapsychological phenomenon. In the morning when I enquirer from my Group Manager I was told that the basement of the hotel is rented to the drivers and commuters looking for cheap hotel and the noise etc. was probably coming from that place. The breakfast was poor but the only good thing was that wifi was satisfactory even though located in the midst of forest.

We were on a group tour of Budapest and our operator had booked this hotel. The ratings on the net are not very good BUT our personal experience experience was very good. The hotel is located at a height and is surrounded by a forest with a trekking track , so a great place to walk ! It has clean and well maintained rooms. The breakfast is also very good. It is understaffed and should have higher capacity water heating facility to cater to more occupancy.

The Hotel is in forest. Aloof from the crowd. If renovated -best natural hotel it will be. U must have your own vehicle. The best point was...the manager cum room boy cum mess man, a young man with smiling face, trying to be always helpful. Our stay was very peaceful. Breakfast is very normal one. It seems the hotel is a meeting point for christiian prayer on weekdays.
