Residence Regnum

We have never been in a hotel with such catastrophic room cleaning; throughout the entire week, neither a sink nor the floor was cleaned, despite complaints at the front desk. The breakfast was unimaginative; how the hotel achieved 4 stars is a mystery to us.

It is a hard one to evaluate. The positives were: great room size, nice breakfast, great location (only 2 blocks away from the Parliament view and the river). Nearby restaurants and near major attractions in Buda side. The negatives: the AC was not working well, the room was VERY hot, even during the night. I had to get a fan to help. Also, there were at least 4 spiders in the bedroom, lots of ants in the bathroom. The towels were very old and even shredded, not really good. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and even though there was a coffee machine, there were no capsules. It has potential but needs to work on these details.

Nothing satisfied. On the day we arrived, 2am, we checked in we ended up going to bed around 3am and so on. We were told that they were having a problem with heating (they were out - 2oC) but they were solving...we got to the room and it was even hot...the next morning, we got up early to have breakfast,.. after all, there was no hot water...we tried to take a bath and nothing...with the hourly difference and bathing attempts (4 people) we arrived 10min after breakfast time and we were no longer allowed to eat..not even a coffee... The travel agency contacted, they said they would return the payment that night, in a sign of goodwill... in the end they did not return it to the agency, they said it should be returned to the customer... and despite having sent all the requested data, so far they did not pay and no longer even respond to contact attempts, neither mine nor the travel agency... Besides, the place is away from most things.
