Guesthouse 1x6

We cannot imagine a better start to an Iceland trip than this pleasant and original guesthouse! Wonderful and helpful hosts, a tasty and lovingly prepared breakfast, and many small details that make this place a true sanctuary!

We enjoyed every second we spent at 1x6 guesthouse, and we would have loved to stay longer. Andi and Yuki and fun and caring hosts, they have a very cool guesthouse and run it with great care. The hot pot in the garden is exquisite, especially in the rain, and the whole experience gave us a chilled end to our Iceland adventure. So many details and artworks to captivate us, we didn't want to leave. Comfortable beds too - nothing could have made our stay better than it was. Shuttle to the airport was very helpful. Book direct if you can - you will benefit from direct contact with Andi and Yuki, they are so helpful and communicative.

I strategically chose the place without high expectations due to its proximity to the airport - just as many guests probably do. What I absolutely did not expect was: That it is a place where one would actually like to stay longer - because it is SO cozy. I have rarely seen such a charming and detail-oriented guesthouse; there is so much art and craftsmanship to admire in the rooms and in the garden. I was only here for one night and would have liked to stay longer 🥲. I will definitely come back! P.S.: The homemade food items and the wonderful coffee variations made and served personally by the warm hosts are the cherry on top of it all. Definitely: One to book (and stay!) 👌🏻
