Chose this hotel for a 3-night stay with a large group of family and friends. Could not be happier with our choice. Very clean and cozy hotel with warm and friendly staff. Excellent location. Very walkable to popular downtown and old town areas with shops, restaurants, pubs, and attractions. Very good breakfast and cocktail bar as well.

Location of Hotel Holt was perfect for our needs. Walking distance to many areas and a sort taxi ride when we were not up to walking. The ambiance of the hotel is amazing. Feels like we were in a beautiful home. Surrounded by art work, soft background music, comfortable couches to sit and relax it was a great way spend some quiet time and relax. The staff - outstanding. Gabriella and Antonia were beyond outstanding. From the moment we arrived Gabriella welcomed us and took care of our check-in process. The reception area was a bit busy with check out time approaching. After a short wait, Gabriella was attentive and patient answering our questions. She mapped out our local surrounding, recommended a wonderful nearby restaurant, Sjavargrillio, (ate there twice it was so good). On the occasions we needed to taxi, she called and a taxi was at our hotel on 5 minutes. Any time she saw us she remembered our name and even our room number. Antonis was another outstanding person we encountered during our stay. He too was attentive to our needs and answering our questions, arranged taxi pick up and Antonis even checked on the weather we would encounter for the day so we were dressed appropriately, especially being out on the water. His recommendations on where to have a bite to eat and get a coffee/ snack with a view was perfect. Both Gabriella and Antonis made for a great stay at Hotel Holt. Add also Dave who helped us immensely the day he was on. They all enhanced our stay with their smiles, patience, kindness and professionalism.We also enjoyed having Breakfast buffet each morning as part of our stay. Open from 7-10 am it was perfect for our needs. The variety of choices both hot and cold, was amazing and fresh made. Staff there was also welcoming and kept the dining area immaculate. We opted to not have daily housekeeping and asked for fresh towels and to empty the garbage pail, again perfect for our 4 night stay. The hotel was clean, comfy, and warm and well worth what we paid. Our overall experience was 10+++ and highly recommend Hotel Holt

The hotel Holt was perfectly situated just off the beaten path, quiet with beautiful views, and our room had an expensive balcony where we could the fresh air and sites of the old town. The staff were incredibly helpful in pre-arranging reservations and tours… Especially Gabriella, who ensured our every need was met with incredible professionalism and patience and kindness! This is definitely our go to hotel whenever we return to Reykjavík! Check out the art collection… Stunning and the breakfast was fabulous… worth including in your reservation! The room was super clean and large in the junior suite… All around a fantastic experience!
