Hotel Leifur Eiriksson

We stayed several nights. The hotel staff is great. They were Very helpful , even before we got there, answering all of my emailed questions. The location is very convenient, especially to bus stop 8 where we were picked up for most of our daily tours. The shower has body wash. There is a hairdryer. Be aware the rooms are extremely small but quiet and comfortable. Breakfast buffet included various breads, pancakes, yogurt with toppings, cold cuts, sliced cheese, fruit, and boiled eggs. The location of this hotel was convenient for viewing the church and close to parking, downtown restaurants, and shopping. The atmosphere was comfortable. The room was clean, but very small. The water had an unpleasant odor of sulphur. The fire alarm went off twice in one night. Carrying our suitcases up the winding staircase to the fourth floor was not fun. Breakfast was generous and filling.

We had the 4th floor overlooking the plaza. Loved the views and location. The front desk is extremely friendly and helpful.
