Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Marina

Perfect Base for an Icelandic Break. Where the coach drops you off there is a bit of a walk with your cases to the hotel, which isn't well signposted. It is accessible from the back of the building where the big boats are being fixed up. Breakfast is good, but limited and repeated daily. This wasn't much of an issue for us as we didn't need much, we were up at the crack of dawn for outings and grabbed hot food and drinks before heading out. The beds aren't the best comfort wise, but they are acceptable. The shower were lovely and hot, none of the bad smells we read about, and left your skin and hair feeling amazing with the clean mineral water! Lovely after long cold days! We only had a snack of chips at the bar one night, so cannot comment on the rest of the hotels food. All the meals we had out though were amazing! All in all a great base for an amazing visit. We would stay again.

Hotel ideally located. The staff is nice and the rooms very clean. Restaurants, shops and the city centre are within easy walking distance.

The hotel is in an all in all good location, close enough to two of the stops where there is tour pick up. Breakfast quite varied, but improveable. I have to say that for what it offers it is expensive, but you know that Iceland is expensive. I had chosen this hotel mainly because I hoped to see the dawn, since it is located in front of the port. Instead it is located in front of the port, but in front of a kind of boatshed, with a very strong brightness and definitely not the place to see the aurora. Another placement would have been much better. Overall however quite satisfied. However if I had known that it was in such a bright location I would have chosen another more central location, also because there is not much nearby (especially few restaurants).
