Keflavik Airport Hotel

A nice ground floor room with a shuttle to the airport, a shuttle from the airport would have been helpful. Construction zone in the lobby. Dinner and breakfast were excellent and reasonably priced. 4 star hotel at a 5 star price.

This was our last night in Iceland, and overall we had a pleasant stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and well maintained. One drawback during our visit was that the main entrance was undergoing renovations. The construction was quite loud at times, and guests had to walk around the work area to access the building. While we understand that improvements need to be made, it did impact the overall first impression. What really stood out was the location and the incredible views. Looking out over the surrounding landscape, you can see the natural beauty of the area for kilometres. It was a wonderful place to relax and take in the scenery as our Iceland adventure came to an end. The hotel is also conveniently located. There was a convenience store and additional restaurants within walking distance, which made it easy to pick up snacks or grab a meal. We also chose to eat at the restaurant located in the building and were very impressed. The food was delicious, and the customer service was excellent. Overall, despite the temporary construction, we enjoyed our stay. The comfortable accommodations, beautiful views, convenient location, and excellent restaurant service made this a great place to spend our final night in Iceland. A great way to end an unforgettable trip.

The hotel is situated on a disused Air Base about 10 mins drive from the airport. Modern design, large rooms, well appointed, all you’d expect for an airport hotel. Can book a transfer (700isK) to the airport. Loses a star as the TV could be a smart system, could barely cope with streaming the standard local channels, as an international hotel would want more. Petrol pump on the site plus a food hall if you don’t fancy the hotel.
