Hotel Aman International

I booked a room at Hotel Aman International, Main Bazar, Paharganj, New Delhi, for one night (13th-14th January 2025) through MakeMyTrip (MMT). However, my experience was highly disappointing. At the time of check-in, the manager informed me that no window rooms were available and assigned me Room No. 202. Sensing an issue, I contacted MMT customer service and spoke to Mr. Sandeep, an MMT executive. Within 20 minutes, he connected me with the hotel manager via a conference call. Shockingly, during the call, the manager denied the existence of Room No. 202, calling it a “black room” that they never provide to guests, and then abruptly disconnected the call. Mr. Sandeep promised to follow up and call me back but failed to do so by 11:30 PM. Frustrated, I reached out to MMT again. This time, the executive Raja Kumar connected me with the hotel manager, who offered to upgrade my room for an additional charge of ₹1,000. I was appalled by this unprofessional behavior and requested MMT to intervene, but the issue remained unresolved. My stay was marred by bad room conditions, an unpleasant smell, and unprofessional behavior by the front desk staff and the hotel manager. The lack of accountability from both the hotel and MMT made matters worse. I strongly advise everyone to avoid booking Hotel Aman International, Main Bazar, Paharganj, New Delhi. It was a terrible experience, and neither the hotel management nor MakeMyTrip handled the situation responsibly. Sincerely, Ankush Kharbanda

The service was above average, as the staff was kind and friendly. You need to ask for hot water for drinking. They have an onsite travel/tour agent if you need last-minute travel arrangements. The room is comfortable enough with AC and a ceiling fan. The bedding was clean. However, you'll need to bring your wall adapters for your electronics. Talk about the location & amenities The place is near the entrance of Main Bazar Rd (Railway side). A lot of shops are around, so you don't need to walk too far. The street is quite dirty, so beware. Customer service was what we liked the most. The room and it's contents were clean but didn't feel clean. The hotel is quite dated and could you use a renovation.

A drab, very dated hotel location an insanely busy street in the heart of Delhi. I arrived and was given a room overlooking the noisy, chaotic street outside. I asked to be moved and was told that this was the only room available until the next day. It as a non-stop barrage of car and motorcycle horns. Thankfully I had earplugs and a white noise generator app on my phone. The next day I was given another room further away from the street. The trade-off is that the other rooms have no windows at all, so there's no natural light. Rooms are decent size. There's no safe to store valuables. There's a small refrigerator in the room, but because your key needs to be in the wall holder for the room to have electric power, the refrigerator is warm while you're out sightseeing. There's no bathtub or shower stall, just a shower head and a drain on the floor. The bathroom is small so when you shower, the entire bathroom floor gets wet. There's no hot water unless you call reception and request it. They turn on the water heater, and you have to wait ten minutes for the water to heat up. The location is very good. Hotel is a 15 minute walk to Connaught Place where there are many shops and restaurants, as well as the metro. Pros: Very central location. Good WiFi. Rooftop restaurant served a decent American style breakfast at a good price. Front desk staff polite and helpful. Cons: Very noisy; dull, drab decor; inconsistent hot water, small bathroom. Depressing.
