The Connaught

The coffee shop is worth a visit. The food is delicious. The rooms have an amazing view of the Shivaji Stadium hockey turf. Staff is courteous. Welcome coffee/ drink is on the house.

This is the worst hotel by any measure- the staff is poorly trained, the rooms get flooded after a mere shower, the food service (both in room and restaurant) are abysmal. The worst part was the Hotel Manager, Miss Sonali Chauhan who behaved very badly with me and my elderly family members. A small request to fix the TV that was not working in the room was met with disproportionate aggression and hostility by her. She went so far as to remind me of a previous visit where she “allowed” me a late check out nevermind the fact I had bought the stay as part of a package which provided for a late check out. The front desk is an appallingly ill-mannered bunch who sneer and laugh at your face at the slightest inconvenience. I would also advise solo female travellers and older people to think twice and think hard before booking this hotel. Trust me!

We stayed at the hotel, which is very beautifully decorated. In addition, the hotel is not so large, and therefore you get a personal feeling of good service. Staff are very polite and are always ready to help. Breakfast was really good, and also in the restaurant there was a good service. The hotel is well located and close to Connaught Place. The swimming pool they estimate after a warm day in Delhi. Recommended.
