Astoria

First of all the property is falling apart. So dangerous. I think a part of roof can fall on head while leaving of entering the room. NOT A HOTEL. JUST AN AGED HOUSE MAINTAINED BY A LAZY FAMILY THAT IS TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I got trapped by the good reviews. Now I strongly believe that most of them are fake. They only care about foreigners because they can fool and overcharge them. Toilets are choked. Rooms are messy and smelly . I dont know what others say but thats what i got for my hard earned money. So disappointed. The place is unhygienic even the kitchen is dirty. I got a chance to see it . No food options. Eat what they make. No room service. Rude family. Avoid by all means.

Hotel Astoria is about 1kms from Mapusa Bus stand and it is a perfect location for people who want peace as well as little bit of crowd. Everything is in 6-7km radius, for instance - Anjuna Beach, Chapora Fort, Morgim Beach etc etc. Some of the rooms are shady and feels like shacks with no network coverage for Airtel. Recently, Mustard Cafe and Vikram Phadnis Designer store has opened up in the compound. I would rate the hotel as 3/5 . I would deduct 2 points for no network, shady room. However, there are only 2 shady rooms, rest all are fine.
