Ahdoos Hotel

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, and unfortunately, the basic standards of hospitality and room maintenance were not met. During my stay, I asked for an iron, but the hotel provided no proper ironing table/board. The iron itself was also a very basic one without a steam function, making it extremely inconvenient and almost useless for properly ironing clothes. Another major issue was the availability of drinking water. Regular drinking water was apparently not provided before 11 AM unless guests were willing to pay for it. This is a very unreasonable policy, especially for a hotel that claims to provide basic hospitality services. A further major inconvenience was the complete absence of a refrigerator. There was no fridge in the room, and surprisingly, the hotel does not have a refrigerator available anywhere on the entire property for guest use. This is a significant drawback, especially for a hotel that should be offering basic in-room amenities and convenience for storing food, medicines, or cold beverages. The room itself also had several maintenance issues. The fan was making continuous noise, which was irritating and made it difficult to relax. Even worse, the bathroom had a strong and unpleasant smell resembling a urinal, which was completely unacceptable from a hygiene and housekeeping perspective. The room locker was another frustrating experience. I had to request the staff approximately five times just to get someone to open/activate the locker. Such repeated follow-ups should not be necessary for a basic facility that guests are entitled to use. The check-in experience was equally poor. Despite there being vacant rooms available, we were still asked to wait for around one hour before being given a room. This created an unnecessarily frustrating start to the stay. The hotel also seems to overstate its views. There was no proper lake view or meaningful city view from the room, despite the impression that the property offers such views. Guests should receive accurate information rather than misleading expectations. Finally, the room service staff were consistently rude and unhelpful. The attitude of the staff made the overall experience even worse. Hospitality is not just about providing a room; it is also about treating guests respectfully and responding to their requests professionally. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay. The combination of poor housekeeping, maintenance problems, lack of even basic amenities like a refrigerator, inadequate service, misleading views, and rude staff made the experience far below what I would expect from a decent hotel. I would not recommend this hotel unless these issues are seriously addressed.

Decent Stay, Neat & Clean Room & Toilet. Good Food accept for breakfast options. Restaurant morning timing is from 8 AM so it may not suit people who have to leave early morning. No one is available at night for any services. The Hotel has an excellent Bakery by the name Creme, must try Walnut Fudge & Coffee.

This is one of the worst hotel I ever seen in Srinagar , bad hotel , most worst rude staff on the front desk, terrible food , hotel is situated on very worst and 3rd class place where no tourist prefer to stay ! It’s a waste of money and please do not visit this hotel it’s my real experienced hotel ! Please prefer to stay at dal lake side ! It’s highly non recommended hotel in Srinagar ! Good class people never prefer to stay here !
