Hotel Rest Inn

room was good but the service was pathetic. I informed the reception in the evening that i would be checking out by 9 am next morning after breakfast, but eventually I had to leave without any tea or breakfast since nothing was ready by 9 am. They didn't even serve any tea in the morning.

Check in was smooth,and porter took bags to our room on 3 floor.The small lift worked fine.Our corner room at the rear had an excellent view across jackaranda trees including squirrels and birds life in the military conpound.Room Decor was passable for the price.Hot water for the shower was a bit slow,so I imagine they use solar.The 2 single beds were smal,they said no doubles were availably.NO refrigerator,even though advertised,this really pisses me off,false advertising!!! The included breakfast,although simple was a stunning crisp Dosa with 2 dips and coffee was served in a run down ex restaurant next door by a scruffy lad with a bad cough!. The immediate area some would call sleazy,but around the corner in Brigade Rd is convenience stores, bakery,fast food outlets etc. Beware the restaurants that add up to 4 taxes to the final bill!

Stayed in room 1206 for 2 nights.. Dingy airless room facing the air conditioning unit from resto next door. No view..noticed other rooms facing the garden were unoccupied but we were given the worst room.see photos attached. Do not recommend anyone stay here.. Just given one towel told to wait till 5:30pm for one! Wifi very slow.. Breakfast basic.toast burnt.
