Jewel Of Chembur

We were waiting in Mumbai to pick up a cruise ship and this hotel was selected by the cruise company for us to stay in while we were awaiting. All the staff were very helpful and very friendly, not all of them could speak English well, but they all tried to make an effort. The room was a good size and the bathroom was big. The shower did not always have hot water, the temperature varied from tepid to warm. The hotel staff were very attentive, asking if we had laundry to do, delivered two bottles of water each day, and check the mini bar each day to see if anything had been consumed Asif, on the front desk, tried very hard to help us with the problem we had had at the airport, and while we were unsuccessful in resolving the problem. (nothing to do with the hotel) he did an excellent job over two days of effort. The area around the hotel was typical Mumbai, crowded, dusty, with lots of little shops selling all kinds of things. My wife bought several Indian dresses in a shop just next door and we were very happy with those purchases.

Perfect for a stay in Chembur. Great location, very close to public transport to quickly move around. Area around the hotel is great to walk and explore with shops. Service was quick, attentive and warm. The food at both the restaurants was outstanding! Rooms were clean and had all the amenities one expects

I booked the hotel directly from the hotel's website and they collected the charges for the airport transfers and meals. However on the day of the arrival they refused to provide the airport pickup and said that they would refund the same but almost a month has passed, they also refused to adjust the charges of in room dining towards the charge of airport transfer and meals which they had already taken from me. Would not recommend anyone to be scammed by this hotel as definitely they can be termed the the Jewel of Excuses rather than Jewel of Chembur
