Fortune Pandiyan

Our tour operator booked rooms here for 2 nights. After seeing the hotel and room we asked to be moved to better accommodation but it was not possible for the first night so we had to stay. Our reasons for rejecting this hotel are that it isn’t very clean; the room is tatty and sticky, for example the phone is in a disgusting state and the bed linen isn’t properly laundered. The room is classed as de luxe but no amount of imagination could justify that description. To British eyes it is just poor on all counts.

We had an amazing experience at Fortune Pandayan hotel in Madurai. The hospitality at the hotel was par excellence. The antique artifacts that adorn the hotel add to the aesthetics of the property. The rooms are very thoughtfully done up for a comfortable stay. The lavish spread at all the meal buffets is to die for. The staff is very courteous and leaves no stone unturned to make the guests feel special and important. The hotel's association with PACE Foundation shows their commitment to CSR.

Decent option to stay in Madurai. Good spacious rooms. Minimal Gym amenities. Breakfast was good, headlined by a amazing Dosa by Chef Surli.
