What a little gem ! Stayed in Blue Angel villa for 9 nights and did not want to leave. The villa was spacious and comfortable and kept immaculately by the housekeeping team. The only improvement would be to have a coffee machine and shower toiletries provided. The small pool was shared with four rooms but was always quiet as were the gardens. We ate in the small restaurant for breakfast from a small menu which was included and could order extra from a larger menu if required. Dinner was so good, everything we had was delicious .The excellent menu choices were beautifully cooked and presented with generous portions and daily specials. Local restaurants were also very good and easily walkable. The staff were all so kind, friendly and professional ( especially the lovely lady that helped care for a tiny kitten I found that had been thrown away in the rubbish. Hope it survived and is now a lucky hotel cat !) The local noises of scooters, cars, dogs, cats and cockerels add to the charm and we soon got used to them. Thank you to all who make this hotel a little gem. Would love to return sometime soon.

Beautiful view over sea, two nice pools for two sets of villas on the upper part of property. Some construction noise from renovations. Street separates the property with rush hour traffic noise. Cannot access lower half of property if staying on upper with restaurant. Staff all very nice and helpful.

Spectacular views of the most beautiful sapphire blue sea. I watched storms roll in and rain squalls drift across the horizon. The resort is divided across 2 sides of the main road. Reception and restaurant on hill side, Angel villas on ocean side. Angel villas has the most amazing infinity pool (shared amongst 3 villas) with 180° views. I spent hours watching fishing boats come and go, fantastic sunrises, and caught sight of dolphins (I was lucky). Bed so big and very comfortable, plenty of room in the villa, great bathroom, relaxing terrace with daybed and table and chairs. I had the aircon set on DRY and the room was always so fresh and cool. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner all excellent, both in the restaurant, room, or poolside. Staff were wonderful, never intruding but always around and helpful. I spent the majority of my time in or by the pool on my terrace. Be aware that Amed is nestled at the foot of some steep hills and deep green jungle. There are plenty of geckos and birds and chickens and dogs. Scooters are, of course, to be expected; they are easy to hire from reception, along with snorkelling gear. I loved every minute of the 5 days I spent at Blue Moon Villas and plan to return for a longer stay in October. With some hesitation I will mention a neighbourhood concern. A local gentleman has acquired some decent speakers and likes to play music quite loudly and at length throughout the day, and until 9 or 10 in the evening. The music isn't great, and it is mostly loud, or very loud. So rather than waking to the distant putt putt sounds of fishing boats, or the splash of waves on the rocks, you make get jolted awake by some random, mediocre doof-doof music from next door. I didn't like it, the other guests didn't like it, the staff and owners don't like lt, but Mr Next-Door is adamant in his refusal to adjust both his volume or courtesies. Despite this, I absolutely will return for a longer stay, albeit with earplugs.
