Bakung Sunset Hotel

Stayed here for 1 night before starting a tour of Bali. We arrived late and tired. We were shown the room and the man behind the desk put the AC on for us then left. I had to go back down to reception to ask for the WiFi password which then didn’t work. The room was dirty, disgusting and felt unsafe. My friend and I shared a double bed that sank in the middle and had to use our sleeping bag liners because of how dirty the sheets were. The floors were filthy so flip flops were required at all times. There is no sink in the bathroom so you have to wash your hands in the shower. The drain was full of someone else’s hair. The front door didn’t lock. The hotel was all round vile and we left as soon as possible. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I stepped in pee in a hotel room in London.

We have travelled Asia for two months and this isn’t the best or the worst place we’ve stayed. For the price I can’t complain, the room is clean but not spotless. The pool and gardens are big and we kept, location is great, only 10 min walk to the beach. Friendly staff and other visitors. Comfy bed.

I have stayed at Bakung Sunset five times now. Their rooms are spacious with own bathroom/toilet, have terrific air conditioners, television and the beds are comfortable. Cost $A13 per room per night. The staff are friendly/accommodating/eager to please. If you want something simply ask.......towels, bottled water etc. A massive Carrefour supermarket is around the corner about 500m away and hospital 200m away. There are 6 or 7 local restaurants within 200m, all offer "local" food, are very good/friendly service, want you to come back, $A5-7 gets you a nice, generous meal with a large juice. This is a very good budget hotel. I enjoy my visits and recommend a stay.
