Aneka Beach Kuta

Our greeting at the reception desk was peremptory and perfunctory and not especially welcoming: a piece of paper was thrust at me with the instructions to fill it out; we were given welcome drinks and I was told to drink it, apparently because I wasn’t drinking it fast enough. The rooms are on two sides of a long, very long path lined with a very pretty garden, at the end of which is the restaurant, a pool, and a beach, which is really more brown dirt than white sand. Our room itself was fairly clean but old and tired and in need of renovation, but it did have a small balcony where we could sit outside and enjoy the garden (we were on the second floor in a “superior” room; there are also stand-alone cottages that seemed a bit larger). While there was a small desk, there was only one nightstand and no side chair, even though there was plenty of room for one. Internet was better than some other Indonesian hotels we have been in and the small TV got a couple of English-language stations. The balcony next door was filthy with trash and discarded objects, apparently from the workers who are renovating it; on the plus side, however, it was cleaned quickly when we reported it to the manager, who seemed much nicer than the receptionist. The food in the restaurant was ok, but not good; breakfast was typical but nothing special. While I’m sure there are worst places to stay, I would stay elsewhere if I find myself in Lovina again. There is nothing about this that says “Bali” to me.

We are twice stayed at this hotel. Hotel rate is fair enough. With simple breakfast fried rice or bread. Hotel is very dirty, but have low rate. One great point of this hotel, is hotel location is in front of beach. After swim at the beach, you can continue swim at hotel pool. BUT this hotel closed already.

I've been to Bali 7 times now and this is the worst hotel I've stayed in. Our room was dirty and old. The pool had broken and missing tiles, there was only 7 pool loungers which were also broken. Breakfast was a waste of time, a couple of fried eggs and toast was it, we ended up going out for breakfast each morning even though we had paid for breakfast at the hotel. After talking to our driver he said the hotel was due to be pulled down in about 1 year, so I guess that's why it's so run down. Don't stay here, there are much better places to stay in bali for cheaper.
