Hotel Barong

Went solo and had the most awesome experience in Lagoon access room, plunge straight into the pool and very sociable. Pool bar area at the rear pool is the highlight, very sociable. The little bar fridge in your room is the best I’ve ever had in Bali, keeps the bintangs super chilled. Beds are comfy, bathroom is okay. Breakfast is fresh and decent with very nice fruit. Room service food is tasty. Party area at front with pool table and bar, it’s a top hotel if you want to let ya hair down and have a ball 👌 I’ve booked again for next year!!

The place is a bogans paradise, there’s 2 pools one filled with drunk bogans out the back and another more civilised front pool. Breakfast was very ordinary and wouldn’t bother again. The room itself, bed was comfy, small bathroom and the shower floods the floor. Air con was leaking water on the floor which made me slip one night going to the bathroom. I realise it’s in Kuta so it’s not going to be the best but I’ll be going back to my regular hotel next visit.

If you’re looking for clean, affordable well managed accommodation in the heart of Kuta it’s hard to go past The Grand Barong. The two pools & manicured grounds make for a great ambiance. The buffet style breakfast is more than adequate & of good quality food. Kudos to Agus Wirahadi in managing his excellent staff.
