I was after a cheap 1 night stay in an area I love. The only positive was the price and air con which worked very well. Pool would have been lovely if it wasn’t green. Garden would be lovely if maintained. Staff could have been good if there were any ( man there on check in, and also there on and off. No one present for hours on end if you needed help) Room was ok for price, however the door was dodgy, shower mouldy, and very old bedding and towels. I’m not a fussy person, and have stayed in cheap places before, but this was the first time I didn’t feel totally safe.

The rooms on the ground floor near the pool have air conditioning (that works properly ), a fridge in the room, and a hot water shower in a private bathroom with a toilet.
Breakfast is included . The pool area itself has been re concreted & updated . It’s probably the best thing about the place .
Now let me describe the undesirable issues . So the bedspread is older than me & I’m thinking it’s never been washed . I put it in the cupboard trying not to touch it as I did . So room service does the best job they can . They change the sheets every day... the sheets are grey,&whilst they are clean they are not Sheridan . Same goes for the towels, old, thin & tiny.
The bathroom has lots of mosquitoes that come in thru the dirty old ceiling fan . Shower is over the bath, water is hot . The tiles look grotty, shower curtain moldy & filthy , Toilet flushed most times .
This place is ok if you are just going to sleep there . There’s a tv in the room, Indo tv only .
For $20 with breaky included for 2 people it’s a fair deal. Don’t expect much & you will love it . If you’re picky don’t bother . I’ve taken my own sheets & a cheap blanket & left it all there & that’s a good option .
Staff are honest, there’s safety deposit boxes at reception . Location is quiet, 7 min walk to the beach .

I used this hotel regularly during the last 20-25 years, it used to be like my home away from home.Unfortunately the total lack of maintenance and zero motivation from some staff members have the negative effects. Rooms are run down, hot water does not work always, swimming pool is out of order, direct booking on the hotels website, or email is not possible, only on booking.com, as nobody is checking the booking requests. Thanks to some old usual guests the hotel is still open and running, God knows how long. The typical Bali-style bungalows are totally abandoned by the Hotel Management, the beautiful tropical garden is neglected, rooms only on the ground floor are ready to book. The Hotel restaurant is limited only on breakfast service and just a few choice on the menu, however it used to be very popular with a fine cuisine earlier. All in all it is very sad to see these negative changes. If I still return to this Hotel it is only because of my nostalgic remembering of better times in the past. Something positive about the Hotel: very cheap, the location is perfect and a very quiet place.
