My husband and I spent a very relaxing week at Ajanta Villas in Sanur in May. The Villas are very spacious and ours had 2 wings - bedroom/bathroom and kitchen/living room with a large pool in between. It was very convenient to have a kitchen and full size frig. The beds were comfortable and plenty of storage area in the rooms. We had our delicious breakfast cooked for us in our villa by Fitri each morning which was followed up by the non obtrusive house keeping team ably led by the ever helpful Fitri Nothing was ever too much trouble from Putu and Dyan in the office to the other many helpers on staff. The Villas are very close to the Icon and the many small restaurants on the street. It's an easy walk through the Icon to the walking path on the beach. It is an ideal stay certainly suited to couples. We were lucky enough to meet the proprietor Eliane who was extremely gracious and friendly . We loved it and hope we can revisit.

Ajanta Great location - tv not working in bedroom. They came and got stations working, but not Netflix. Went back next day saying Netflix still isn’t working. - The air conditioner in the bedroom is extremely noisy and I’m concerned that the filters haven’t been cleaned. Since our first night, I have had a really saw throut. Been to chemist 2 times for medication. It’s not the flu as no runny nose. - Light shines through the timber blinds from the pool lights all night, so no dark room. - The pool stairs are in a dangerous position. You get out of the pool and have to stand over a garden bed, you could access through the bedroom, but then you would have bugs in the room and a wet floor, trip hazard. - The doors on the lounge kitchen area, don’t all open, and when they are open, hard to walk past them, very tight around the pool area with the day beds. Villa 12, can lay on sun lounge and have no sun, any time of day. - A two story villa across from this villa, can see straight into the pool and all of our villa. No privacy - The bed is a rock. I did ask them to put a topper on, but made no difference. It’s like sleeping on a plank of wood. - Since we haven’t slept for the past 5 nights, bedroom lit up all night, if you sleep with the air conditioner on, it’s sooo noisy, quality of air coming from the air conditioner, we have decided to leave early and seek accommodation else where for the reminder of our holiday. The cough only happens when I’m in the bedroom, the moment I leave, it stops. - the bathroom is really hot, so when you are getting ready to go out for dinner, it’s like getting ready in a sauna - The staff are fabulous, but the quality of the villa for the price is poor. Very disappointed. When I advised reception we were checking out early, they asked why, I mentioned all the above, and all she said was, would you like me to organise someone to look at the air conditioner! I advised no need as we are checking out. Her response- oh ok!

The villas at this hotel are fantastic, very private, quiet and have everything you would need for your stay. Located at the back of Sindhu Market just 50 mtrs to the beach and the new Icon Shopping centre. Included breakfast is cooked to order in you villa and will feed you for the day. Best of all the villas are so quiet(something rare in Bali) we didn't even know the place was booked out. Perfect for couples but not children.
