Zen Resort Bali

As part of a three-week dream trip to Bali, my wife and I spent the first week at the paradise Zen Resort on the north coast. The very extensive property is a strenuous 4-hour drive from Denpasar Airport, located on the edge of a tiny village and within walking distance to a small beach. To start with the mundane things: The bungalows on the premises are beautifully furnished and comfortable, the extensive property is lushly green and well-maintained, the pool is very nice and offers a great view of the sea, the food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) is diverse and prepared with fresh ingredients, and several lovely local excursions are offered. What truly makes the Zen Resort unique are several other things: First of all, everything is lovingly detailed: A flower garland upon arrival, the entire resort is decorated with fresh flowers daily, the food is freshly prepared and beautifully presented, every day there is a fun towel decoration on the bed, and even our names are decorated with hearts made of flowers on the floor of our room. Simply paradise-like! Then the treatments are truly fantastic: The morning sunrise meditation with breathing exercises while looking over the green valley and the beach is already a dream. This is followed by an intensive yoga class that is attentively adapted to the abilities of all participants. Even we, as total beginners, were able to participate well and felt great improvements within a week. In the evenings, there is another yoga session with a relaxation meditation to conclude. The lovely Iluh is always motivated, appreciative, and attentive, so that despite all the sweat, the joy never falls short. The absolute highlight is the massages. Our package included daily massages ranging from 60 to 120 minutes, and they were by far the best I have ever experienced. All the masseuses are very experienced, lovingly dressed in traditional attire, starting with a foot bath, a ritual prayer song that gives you goosebumps before beginning, varied and competent massages (mostly four-handed), and finally tea on the beautiful garden terrace. You come out feeling reborn. Unparalleled worldwide! However, the highlight is the incredible friendliness of every single member of the Zen family. Whether it's the gardener in the morning, the breakfast team, or housekeeping - each and every one is genuinely happy to see you and always has kind words. The entire atmosphere is cheerful and familial, so you quickly get the impression of being cared for by loving relatives around the clock. A true dream, made possible by the strong cohesion felt within the team. You really don't want to leave at all! All in all, it was an incredibly wonderful experience that far exceeded all our expectations. We can only highly recommend the Zen Resort, although one should certainly be open to a significant spiritual touch. However, the Ayurvedic consultations with the Indian owner are definitely a unique experience and just as appreciative as everything at the Zen Resort.

From the moment you arrive, you feel that this is not just a resort, but a sanctuary where everything is designed to nurture both body and mind. The setting is simply paradisiacal, but what makes this place truly exceptional is the people. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and highly professional. They go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome — so much so that you quickly feel like part of a big, caring family. I personally chose Zen Resort Bali for scuba diving, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life. The diving team is extremely competent, attentive, and reassuring. They take you to some of the most beautiful dive sites while ensuring a calm, safe, and enjoyable experience at all times. What truly sets this place apart — and something every diver should experience at least once — is the unique combination of diving with yoga and pranayama breathing exercises. After each dive, guests are offered a post-dive pranayama session, which is simply incredible. It enhances relaxation, awareness, and creates a deeper connection with the whole experience. The spa is also wonderful, and the massages are exactly what you need after a day of diving — deeply relaxing and restorative. The food is both healthy and absolutely delicious, adding to the overall sense of well-being. Zen Resort Bali is one of those rare places you almost want to keep secret, just for yourself and your loved ones. But at the same time, you feel it is too special not to share — because this experience can truly be life-changing. The Zen Resort Bali is definitely worth going there. It is difficult to find any negative points since the resort including the rooms and the food were excellent. Apart from this they offered trips to the sorrounding area which were included in the price. Priceless however, is the service and the friendlyness of the people. I have never seen such attentive and friendly people as in the Zen Resort Bali. You have the feeling of being part of a greater famlily rather than a guest. It is the small things that make the difference and they think about this, too. The massages were absolutely great and the personell is very well trained During my stay at Zen Resort Bali we were only up to 7 people and this also helped to create a family atmosphere. They do not offer many activities but this is not necessary. Yoga is tough by a very good teacher and the beach is within 5 min of walk. This clear structure in the middle of a beautiful nature is creating a very relaxed environment suitable for everyone who seeks relaxation and stress relieve. If at all the medical support and advice could be approved. After determening your personal doshas no further ayurvedic consultations by the doctor has been given. However a written paper with food and how to balance your doshas have been given. Overall Zen Resort Bali is a beautiful place and for everyone who does not want to be distracted by the activity in the south is here at the right place. Beautiful people in a beautiful enrivonment. Zen Resort Bali is worth being visited again.
