Dewi Sri Hotel

This is our second time staying here and because we had such an amazing time last year we thought we’d go back as it was central to everything. Yes the hotel is lovely and the beds are comfortable, the staff are lovely too but during our stay this year there were people drinking and smoking in the pool along with eating in the pool. Yes I get having a drink but not in the pool spilling it in the water and dropping your cigarette ash into the pool. The staff never seemed to say anything about it happening even though there are signs saying no food or drink in the pool, yes there is a swim up bar but people were quite happy standing in the middle of the pool drinking and smoking. Not what you really want when swimming in it. There aren’t enough sunbeds either so if you’re not down for 8 o’clock then you have no chance in getting one. Breakfast is a bit of a hit or miss at times not a great selection compared to some of the other hotels in the area. The hotel had a singer there every day and while I don’t mind having music around the pool it would be nice to be able to hear yourself think as the guy was really quite loud but it was the same songs he sang every day and in the exact same order too it was very repetitive every day. I think if he had maybe turned down the volume on his amplifier he would’ve got on a bit better and try to change his songs up a bit. Our other problem was there was a group of young guys there who were drunk every day they were there but the hotel kept serving them more alcohol. Yeah I like a drink but these guys were quite loud and boisterous so they loved to be heard especially after 2 in the morning shouting from one end of the hotel to the other forgetting there were children trying to sleep. Overall the hotel is beautiful but this year has really put me off going back next year as we just wanted a nice relaxing time away with our family but the whole drinks in the pool issue, not enough sunbeds and some of the noise at night really has put us off. Last year we had such an amazing time with plenty of relaxation but for us this year was a complete different story. We love Bali and we can’t wait to go back but just a different hotel.

Beautiful little hotel in the heart of kuta but tucked away from all the noise, Beautiful gardens, amazing friendly staff. Rooms are abit dated but has everything you need and the breakfast buffet is nothing special. Have been staying here every trip to bali now for 7 years and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else and the prices are amazing.

We stayed at this centrally located quiet hotel. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Well played out hotel with a family feeling. Breakfast cooked eggs and bacon ,fruit, tea, and coffee too ! Great value for money. Rooms clean and well.serviced each day !
