Okawati Hotel

Lovely place and so handy to everything on Monkey Forest road yet so peaceful and quiet and tranquil. Our lady host is always so friendly and smiling and helpful. Is shopping is your gig this place is a short walk to the market place in Ubud and many fine dining restaurants as well as cheaper cafes and eateries. I highly recommend.

We stayed here for 4 nights and for the most part we’re happy with our choice. The hotel is very convenient for museums, shopping and dining and super quiet for sleeping. The pool was lovely and the gardens well tended. Breakfast was okay, but we were not given the option of having it on our terrace our even though we saw others doing so. The room itself was rather plain and worn. No hot water for the first two days, stains on sheet and a bathroom in much need of a renovation detracted from our enjoyment. Perhaps the rooms in the older wing are nicer but we didn’t have a choice as to which building we stayed in. We did appreciate the refrigerator in the room and the helpfulness of the staff.

This family owned place turned hotel is my very favorite place to stay whilst in Ubud. Short walking distance to local temples, markets, shops, spas, and restaurants yet it feels like you are staying in a traditional Balinese garden far from the city bustle. I am in and out of Ubud for business and always return here, never disappointed. Lovely views and private breakfast is served on your balcony.
