Amazing Umang Island Resort

The island is very beautiful, white beach sand and some with beautiful coral. Plenty of trees on this small islad provide enough sunshade, very romantic place. The hotel staff are very nice and friendly. Should try strolling around the island

I came here during Eid day with my family Positive: -The staff were very friendly, they would give you a warm welcome when you reach the resort. They would do any service you ask for them kindly -The lobby looks interesting, they have live music stage, dining room, a gift shop, 2 pool table all in one place -Big swimming pool -Your room is finely furnished -the food was okay/not bad -good view Negative: -I experienced blackout twice -the place is not that clean including the beach -there is only 1 staff operating the spa -needs more boat for transfering from the islands to the resort, and also please add in some safety such as life jacket -because alot of people came here, the food takes long for us to receive -the pool table needs to be cleaned and fixed daily -needs more home cable phone in each and every room -insects such as mosquitos needs to be terminated -no wifi In conclusion this place has a lot of potential in service, facilty and natural resources, but the resort needs to be cleaned every hour and boat access is crucial in any situation (also add safety to it please, anything could happen) To the Umang Resort Manager, please take this review as consideration to make your Resort a better place for people to stay in. :)

We drive about 5 hours from Jakarta to get to this island, they have a parking area in the Desa Sumur for our car. Then their staffs will deliver us to get to the island on a 10 minutes speedboat. I came to stay on a weekday years ago for a night. The island has no visitors that day except me and my husband. So we get a very great service. They even move our dinner to the pool side. We are so impressed with the nature they try to keep. Even the big lizards can still be seen wandering around slowly under the trees. Sea cucumber can be seen everywhere on the beach. You can go straight to snorkel trough their jetty. Their room is set up on 2 level.. Master bedroom on the top, huge livingroom and bathroom on the first floor. Everything is built neat with wooden materials and room is equipped with with air conditioning. So no worry for the hot weather! Foods are excellent! They do serve all our meal during our stay. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner are all so delish!
