Metro Hotel Semarang

The location is super convenient, really close to the old town and easy to get around from. The hotel was clean, and all the amenities were provided. I was pleasantly surprised that our room came with 1 queen bed and 1 single bed, which was perfect for traveling with two friends. The room was also really spacious, with a sofa and a proper workspace. The AC was so cold i ended up wearing 2 jackets 😂. Overall, it was really comfortable, and the soundproofing was pretty decent, so it stayed nice and quiet even though we visited during the school holiday season.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is ideal, very central and within walking distance of several places we wanted to visit. The staff was extremely kind, welcoming and always ready to help, which greatly contributed to our experience. Our room (329), although spacious and comfortable, could nevertheless use a refresh. The bathroom, particularly the shower and the mirror, showed signs of wear. The room was perfectly fine, but without a real "wow" factor. We also took advantage of the in-room massage service, which was of very high quality. The real highlight of our stay, however, was the restaurant. The breakfasts were simply exceptional, among the best we have seen in a hotel. The buffet highlighted specialties from several regions of Indonesia, as well as other cuisines, offering a rich and varied culinary experience. A special thank you to Chef Wien, who was incredibly generous with his time. He explained the different dishes to us, the best way to assemble and enjoy them, which transformed a simple breakfast into a true cultural and gastronomic experience. A big thank you!
