Best Western Mangga Dua Hotel and Residence

I stayed at Best Western Mangga Dua, Jakarta with my family for one night (27–28 June 2026), and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have ever had. For a 4-star hotel operating under the Best Western brand, the overall quality was far below expectations. Pillowcases – The pillowcases were covered with lint and loose fibers, looked old and worn out, and were not even matched. Each pillowcase was different, giving the impression of poor housekeeping standards. Television – Every TV channel had signal issues, making it impossible to watch properly. No Towels Available – We checked in at around 1:00 AM, only to find that there were no bath towels or bath mats in our room. When I called the receptionist, I was told that the hotel had run out of towels. Instead, they sent us four bath mats (photo attached), expecting us to use them instead of towels. The next morning, I called again and was informed that towels were still unavailable. My family and I were extremely disappointed and shocked that a 4-star hotel could fail to provide such a basic necessity. Empty Shower Gel – The shower gel dispenser was completely empty. Water Heater Not Working – The water heater did not work at all, forcing my family to shower with cold water. I strongly urge the hotel management to conduct a thorough evaluation of its housekeeping, maintenance, and overall service quality. These are not minor issues—they are basic standards that every hotel should meet. It is truly embarrassing that a hotel under the Best Western brand provides such poor facilities and service. This stay was absolutely not worth the money, and based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel was the worst in Indonesia, when we got there we were a bit early for check in so my husband went for Friday prayers I was left sitting there for an hour and thirty mins I wasn’t even offered a drink or anything, the room was not what we expected no WiFi smelt of cigarettes was dirty, and it was noisy reception was busy as people live there as it’s also a residence, location was not good at all I would not recommend this hotel at all.
