I stayed in the Alia Jakarta hotel several times, but this time I stayed in Cikini. I have not complained about the service of the Alia hotel, but in Cikini I am very disappointed in the service. My disappointment during my stay of 3 nights in this hotel; 1. I check in at 4 p.m., get a room on the 7th floor. When I checked the mineral beverages in the room, the bathroom's tap water didn't work well. I called the service room so I could deliver the mineral water + fix the KM crane. Until 9 p.m., the blm was delivered/repaid the crane as well. I had to call again, an hour later someone brought the mineral and fixed the tap to my room. 2. The second day I stayed, the morning when I was going out of the hotel I ordered / requested my room to be clean up, when I went back in the afternoon to the hotel room, God.. my room was in the same condition as when I left. The spray is still blm drained, blm towels replaced, dirty glasses, blm garbage dumped. When I called the service room, they asked back, the room wasn't ready yet. How is this hotel. 3. When I have breakfast at 9 a.m., all the menus, lots of exhausted and unfilled. I asked the staff at the rest of the hotel, but at 8:30 a.m. there was a lot left, including chicken flour. How long do I have to wait for a chicken powder refill? Staff info just a moment, in a moment it turns out more than 30 minutes haven't come too. I was upset, finally I got out to continue breakfast. The management of this hotel should have improved its performance and service to hotel guests.

For syariah hotel, Gren Alia Cikini is a nice one. I was there in a group for a pesantren kilat organized by Remaja Islam Sunda Kelapa. The hotel can be easily noticed from cikini main one way road. Located right in front of Ibis Budget Hotel Cikini. There are many eateries around the hotel round the clock. The hotel itself is not a current trendy hotel. It has that early nineties atmosphere. The staff is friendly but a little more training would be nice. Since it is a syariah hotel, men and women are not allowed to be in the same room unless legally married, or related. The hotel management is very strict about this policy. Also no alcohol and food contain pork are served and allowed to be consumed in the hotel. The room was decent in size, slightly bigger than budget hotel room. The bed was comfortable, but there's no safe deposit box available. They do provide each room with refrigerator and electric water kettle though. The bathroom was also very decent in size, a bit old though. The foods and drinks served were quite tasty but the presentation need to be improved. Overall, Gren Alia Cikini is definitely better than its sister Hotel Alia Cikini, which located about 100 meters away in the same road. But a little renovations here and there, more staff training would make the hotel even better and more prestigious syariah hotel.

Gren Alia is not a new hotel, but clean and the room is spacious. The hotel is in the center, close to offices and attractions. The staff was very friendly. They are very helpful to help me around as I was using wheel chair and crutches because of my hip fructure. They also provide chair in the bathroom for me. What I like, all room has grab bars/rails at the toilet and shower which really help me to do things my self and will be good for elderly guest too. The breakfast is OK but I like the lamb fried rice.
