Swiss-Belinn Medan

The hotel looks great in the entrance area. The staff are very accommodating and polite. We stayed one night here as our plane left very early. The room... well... we were on the eighth floor. The room was rocked down, lacking care and it wasn't really clean. Okay for one night, but certainly not longer. We have befriended the thought, as we only stay one night anyway, probably also got an old room. Oh, yeah, Wi-Fi's fine. I can't say anything about breakfast because we had to leave before. Next time we will certainly book somewhere else.

First time in Medan, staying here because it's downtown, so hopefully near anywhere. And it's true not far from the station, and close to the mall too. Next to the hotel is an alfamart that may be 24 hours. The location is in the shopping area, when the morning is still quiet but the day is very crowded and crowded. I got room 807, the toilet key's kind of hard, I've been locked twice. The room is quite spacious, there's a desk, a sofa, a dressing room, a large fridge, a large toilet. The bed is muggy and comfortable, there are not many TV channels and the picture is not clear. Room soundproof. Breakfast is quite varied, it also tastes good. Large lobby, lots of seats, can store stuff as well.

Everything you need for a town-centre hotel. The rooms are small (but the bathrooms are very big!) but come with a kettle which is useful. The central atrium gives an airy feel, but it does mean that if people are chatting noisily in the lobby, the noise travels up to all the sleeping floors, so can be intrusive if you're wanting an early night. It's within walking distance of the Mosque (where the staff are very accommodating to visitors) and a big shopping centre. On the road behind the hotel there are little restaurants and popular street-food stalls.
