Harris Resort Waterfront Batam

Our stay at Harris Waterfront Batam was truly one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had—not only because of the facilities, food, and location, but most especially because of the people. Indonesian hospitality is really something special. ❤️ Every staff member we encountered was so kind, warm, accommodating, and genuinely happy to help. Even with the little things that I personally felt might already be a nuisance, they would happily assist us without ever showing irritation or annoyance. You can really feel the sincerity in their service. Our stay started with ENGELIA from Reception, who warmly welcomed us and immediately offered us a refreshing lemongrass drink. After coming by boat from Singapore with a toddler, that drink was exactly what we needed! Such a simple gesture, but it made us feel so welcomed right from the beginning. On our first night, our air-conditioning wasn’t cooling properly. It was already around midnight when I called Reception, but RIYAN still came to assist us. He even topped up the gas so the room could cool down as much as possible and explained that the aircon would still need cleaning the following morning. (Who would happily top up gas at past 12 midnight???!!!) 🙌🏼 We really appreciated how he attended to us despite the late hour. Then there was RISKY, who happily served our late-night dinner at around 1 AM! One of the biggest things we appreciate about Harris Waterfront is the 24/7 room food service. Not every hotel offers food service at that hour, and this is honestly one of Harris Waterfront Batam’s biggest advantages!! 💯 We didn’t have to order Grab in the middle of the night—we could simply order from the hotel. The food portion is great and delicious too! 😋 There was also another kind gentleman who delivered our food that night, but unfortunately I didn’t get his name.😔 The next morning, we decided to move rooms because of the air-conditioning issue. HUMAM from reception happily assisted us and found us another room on the same level with the pool view we wanted—Room 550. He even helped us with our belongings during the room transfer. Such thoughtful service. The warm pool is AMAZING! 🥹❤️ This deserves a special mention because we have a toddler. The pool water being warm made such a huge difference! Our little one could enjoy the pool without us worrying about the water being too cold. Even as adults, we actually prefer a warm pool—it’s so much more relaxing!😌 Because of this, I’m already thinking of bringing my senior citizen parents here too. I feel like they would really appreciate the warm pool because it’s comfortable and relaxing without the shock of very cold water. And the FOAM POOL PARTY at the kiddie pool was such a fun and memorable experience for our daughter! We had actually stayed here before, and what amazed us was that our daughter still remembered the foam party. It really stayed in her memory, so coming back and experiencing it again made this trip even more special. ❤️ We also really liked the room slippers. They are much better than the usual thin white hotel slippers that easily tear, especially when they get wet. These felt sturdier and much more practical. Another thing we appreciated was the refilling water stations. It’s convenient, practical, and such a nice touch that guests can refill their water instead of constantly needing new bottles. The breakfast buffet was also great—lots of choices, delicious food, and every server was so friendly and welcoming. Everyone seemed to be smiling! I wish I had gotten the name of one of the servers (I think it was Arpitra/Apitra), because she was also so lovely and welcoming. At the Wellness Center, JIJA gave us an amazing and relaxing massage. We also loved the ginger tea offered after the massage. It was such a nice touch and the perfect way to end the treatment. Even the little moments stood out to us. PUTRA, one of the cleaners, would happily greet us whenever we passed by the corridor while he was cleaning. It may seem like such a small thing, but those genuine smiles really make a difference. And finally, AMAR from the reception made our checkout extra special. He offered to take a photo of the three of us even though we didn’t ask. Sometimes it’s honestly embarrassing to ask someone to take a family photo, so we were so happy that he volunteered. 🤭 Because of him, we now have a lovely family photo to remember our stay by. He also helped us with our luggage and assisted us as we got into our Grab. One small thing we hope management can improve: - The only thing we noticed during our stay was that the air-conditioning in the rooms doesn’t seem to get very cold, even after adjusting the temperature. We hope management can look into this, because a cooler room would make the stay even more comfortable. But honestly, despite this, our overall experience was still wonderful because the hospitality of the staff makes such a huge difference. ❤️ What makes Harris Waterfront special for us is that it doesn’t just feel like a hotel. It feels like a place where people genuinely care about making you feel comfortable. 🥰 Every time we leave and head back to Singapore, we honestly feel a little sad. 🥹 This place has become our perfect reset whenever our bodies and minds are tired. A quick escape, good food, a warm pool, a relaxing massage, fun memories for our little one, and most importantly, people who make you feel welcomed and cared for. Harris Waterfront Batam, you will always have a special place in our hearts. ❤️ Thank you to everyone who made our stay so memorable. We may not have gotten everyone’s names, but please know that every smile, every “yes, ma’am,” every little act of kindness, and every effort to help us did not go unnoticed. Recommend Hotel with family, Best View💖

Rooms are nice but the aircon is screwed up. Can’t sleep at night cos it’s so warm and lowest temp. Cool on the remote is not cool in the room. Average service of staff. Like they don’t know there is reservation.
