Cool bgt view and food there is also recommended. Relax and enjoy the sea view overlooking Singapore

Having mixed feelings here. The staff is friendly and made us feel welcome. The location is superb but lacks effort to make it great experience. I understand the beach gets cluttered by garbage from the ocean but areas beyond the reach of water are also cluttetered. We were welcomed by room service leftovers and we left without them being cleared away… rooms are old, and not very cleaned, dust deposits on light covers at the bedpost. The experience at Japanese restaurant was exquisite, food and service alike. Drinks are overpriced, did not expect to pay Singapore rates for a half decent glass od wine. With a little effort and full upgrade of facilities this could be a fantastic weekend getaway.

We stayed for 3d2n in tirta premier rooms. Prior to arrival, I had read many mixed reviews and didn't have much expectation. Our group arrived at different ferry timings. The first group arrived at noon and was told rooms not ready till 2pm. However the rooms were ready only around 2.30pm when the second group of us arrived. All of our rooms had some issues with toilet ighting and aircon. We requested to change one of the rooms. Peeling toilet bowl, air cor not cold enough, half the lights not working, sink had crack lines, cupboard cannot close properly, musty smell in room and toilet. The drainage hole in one of our room shower had a very pungent pee smell. Bedsheets, towels bathrobes had stains. Cleanliness in the room was also questionable. Room and toilet floor had a lot of hairs and even on the bedsheet Room was too dim and even at the balcony area it was too dark we could not see clearly to unlock the main door. It is obvious that the property is very very old and in need of serious renovation. We stayed through the weekend, just before the singapore school holidays ended (not the best time) so the resort was almost fully booked. Emerald pool was flooded with kids. Aqua pool was also very crowded and had way too few sun loungers. The cushions in the huts at the aqua pool also needed replacement. There could be a more efficient service at the towel counter and also clearing of previous guests' plates at the huts. Breakfast and dinner at Taming Sari was average. However the Sunset BBQ buffet or Saturday had better quality and selection of food. The table in the main restaurant also had ants under the glass piece. The outdoor spaces of the resort don't look as worn out as the rooms. The beach was covered in litter, like the average Singapore beach. Don't expect clear blue waters like photos. Also beware of cockroaches at the pathways in the garden areas. This is my first time to Batam and I wil probably look at other accomodation options if I were to visit again. Go without expectations and just think of a 1 or 2 star chalet. not 4 stars as advertised This property is kids friendly and more suitable for families with young children.
