Hotel Mutiara Merdeka

My experience staying at this hotel was very disappointing and far from the standard of a 4-star hotel. Conditions of Rooms and Facilities: Once in the room, I found that the property of the room was old and obsolete. This is evident from the apparent condition of furniture and facilities. The blankets in the room are also worn and can not request for replacement, which of course greatly reduces comfort and hygiene. Minimum Service: One of the things that feels the least is the absence of a bellboy who helps lift things and open the door. This is the standard of basic service that should be in a 4-star hotel. Besides, the TV in the room doesn't have a channel at all, when asked about the server problem, even the CO can't. The breakfast experience was also very disappointing. The breakfast was served at a very low rate, with limited menu options and less satisfactory quality. Worse, the food supplies are not available. In fact, mineral water supplied using plastic glass packaging, not a dispenser like a hotel class standard. Hotel Star Discord: With all these shortcomings, I don't think this hotel deserves a 4-star hotel. The outdated condition of the property, the lack of service, as well as the quality of breakfast and facilities that are far below standards, severely damage the hotel's reputation. There is a room that has been renovated, but unfortunately, when checking in I was told that the room was fully renovated and there was an extension, right or not I don't know. Overall, this experience is far from expected and needs to be a serious evaluation by the hotel management to improve the quality of their services and facilities to meet the 4-star hotel standards.

We get overlooking swimming pool room, good size, nice bed, clean curtains, clean bedsheets , worn out fridge ( still working), however bathroom not well maintained( crack sink, very low toilet bowl but still okie . Staffs , service very good and lavish buffet breakfast , plus free shuttle to airport make this hotel worth to stay. Very spacious lobby and close to city centre.

I just don't understand how this hotel is rated as four star. It perhaps used to be but is now so old decayed it is more like a one star. We checked out early because we found a rat scurrying around in our suitcase. The staff didn't seem surprised and didn't apologise or offer a refund. We were so upset we just wanted to get out so paid and left. The hotel is really run down, weird and practically empty. You can find a better hotel for a better price in a similar location.
