Grand Town Hotel Makassar

Where little thing means everything, great job Mr.Paul as Head of Department, I was surprised the hotel was incredible, food and beverage was superb, I asked for eggs during breakfast mr hasrul provide me and kitchen team, I will stayed in here again for my next visit.

I've chosen this hotel for family reason. Good location especially for those who wants to do some great value shopping activity. The hotel itself was as surprised. The design was like a casteel during French Renaissance. Quite unique and exciting. The room was okay, clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We chose this hotel because we were attracted by the greek-roman-art deco-kitsch. It looked so different to all other hotels. We wouldn't dare to call this "art" but the hotel has a really unique style. Unfortunately the 4-nights stay wasn't that pleasant. It started well: the check-in was quickly done and the staff was nice and lovely. * Shortly before midnight we had a shower and after the shower we couldn't stop the water: the tap was broken. Someone had to come and fix it. No appologies whatsoever from nobody, probably also due to their lack of English. * During all four days there was an awfully strong sewer stench coming from the bathroom and after every shower the bathroom was flooded and we almost could have had a swim in the pool. * One afternoon at 4.25pm a room-boy entered the room without knocking. No idea what he was looking for. * The Wi-fi was very weak and we had to log in EACH TIME we wanted to use the internet. Very tiresome if you need it several times a day. * Because no one really knows more than ten words in English it was very hard to get a satisfactory answer to a question. * And sorry to say: the breakfast was also below average. The pictures of the hotel promised a magic stay but the reality looked different. We wouldn't choose this hotel again.
