Me and my husband booked the hotel last minute, using “Last Minute Hotels” menu at Traveloka, so we got a pretty decent rate. We only need hotel for half night just because we don’t want to drive back home in Southern Bandung at night after spending time at the hot spring in Lembang. Hotel receptionist and staffs are nice, polite and attentive. Unfortunately the hotel itself doesn’t meet our expectations of a 3 stars hotel (we expect basic cleanliness of a budget hotel).
The moment we walked through the hall we knew that the hotel need to be refurbished. The doors to each rooms looks old with faded peeled paint. Doors are still using metal keys.
The moment we got in to our room, we saw the broken dusty curtains, the big windows are dirty, the bed sheets has stains. I knew that I couldn’t stayed here, my allergy will kicking in. So eventually we left the hotel without staying in it. We rather lost our money for not staying in, than couldn’t sleep at night because the dusty dirty hotel. To the owner, please do something about your hotel. It has such a great potential, I can see that it was such a majestic hotel during its peak time, it has great location and the hotel is big, unfortunately the hotel quality is faded with time.

During my stay at the hotel. The hotel is very bad, as the hotel is a ghost. Fortunately a lot of staying in new year. Upon check in was given room number 228, first entered the room. The lights on the no on, the pillows and sheets are very bad yellow, the towels look dirty, plus again when opening the balcony is very unmatched, the floor is dirty, the ceiling is crushed, disappointed maybe as this is an old hotel so not well maintained. His service was bad.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the Orchid Forest, as we were attending a music festival there. The location and staff friendliness were great, and the pool bistro food was decent and nicely portioned.
The rooms themselves were fine size-wise, but furnishings were old and the linens were stained and grey with age. They also made the beds with a bottom sheet, then blanket, then top sheet (which I guess, acted as the bed spread). The blankets were against your skin. We saw them changing the sheets but not the blankets, which was a huge “ick” factor for us, so we remade the beds to put the blankets on top. Gross.
There was also a puddle of water behind the toilet in my room that I alerted management about, but I don’t think they did anything about it. I didn’t try out the shower, but there was only a cold water tap at the bathroom sink.
The rooms also had screened, slatted windows that did not close (the advertised air conditioning?). This was okay, except for the large company group that was doing a team building retreat the weekend we were there. Their “fun” started promptly at 6:30 in the morning, with a band playing right outside our rooms. Having arrived back to the hotel very late from our event (2 am) and having to remake the beds at that point, we thought this was really inconsiderate.
The hotel has potential but needs major refreshing. Until that happens, I would not recommend.
