Vamana Resort

We have just left Gili Trawangan after 4 amazing days. We stayed at Vanama Resort and was perfect for our needs. From the moment we arrived the staff were superb and friendly, the rooms were large and clean and the location on the island was spot on. Close to the bars and restaurants but far enough for peace and quiet also. Main restaurants just a 5 min walk. Would def recommend and come again.

My family of 4 stayed here for 6 nights Dec 25. We booked 2 double-bed rooms. The hotel is located about a 15-20 min walk from the main ferry terminal. Although close to the island's centre of shops, bars and restaurants, it was quiet enough to get decent sleeps, no loud music or shouting from nearby bars. Its also across from the beach, which has turtles regularly swimming past (stand on the beach and wait for a few minutes!). An ideal location! The rooms were well presented, clean and have all the usual hotel facilities. Screens and shutters in the outside seating area gives you full privacy from other guests. Rooms are serviced daily. The hotel lobby, bar and restaurant area are at the front of the complex with a decent-enough sized pool to the side. As with most hotels along this stretch of the island, the rooms and overall complex are quite compact, so don't expect any lush gardens and wide-open spaces to walk about in. Breakfast was more than adequate with a choice of different styles (full English, Continental, pastry etc...). Breakfast is definitely worth the extra charge, although you can walk to other restaurants close by if you prefer not to pay. The staff were friendly and very helpful and offered advice on day-trips and things to do. I would recommend this hotel to others on a mid-range budget.

Very friendly welcome and we are well helped with the drill back to Lombok. The rooms were okay, but very little oxygen. Very stuffy, we don't think the air conditioning was clean. Lobby ceiling was broken. Breakfast was very moderate
