On a limited budget, I decided to stay here ($25 a night). Unfortunately the place is completely run down. Lots of maintenance issues with broken tiles around the pool (which needed another 6 inches of water), untidy garden and everything seemed grubby. The room had an airconditioner, TV, intermittant wi fi and a fairly comfortable bed. All the linen was aged and grubby in colour. No mattress protector or top sheet. The bathroom was filthy with wiring coming out of the walls where there should be a light and a power point. Power point in the bedroom was loose and hanging off the wall. When they cleaned (?) they never bothered with the toilet pan or around the toilet or under the sink. The sheets were never changed in 6 nights (but the pillow slips were changed and the towels were changed). No pool towels. No coffee/tea making facilities. No fridge. Despite all of this the people were friendly. However, the worst thing was the noise. I don't mind the mosque in town going off but this was in a whole new category. They had children screaming at the top of their voices through a loudspeaker the call to prayer. This went off from 4.30am to 5am it was as though they were in the room with you. Then again in the afternoon. This is not the true muslim way where normally they have a male chanter with a good voice. You cannot read, sleep, listen to music or doing anything while this is happening. This noise was heard 2 kilometres up the road. The breakfast was fine. I think you could do better if you shopped around for accommodation.

The rooms are dirty, broken, old....... they employ kids and don´t pay them. We stayed 4 nights there and it was caos, we order breakfast and we never got correctly what we ordered. They don´t clean the room unless you ask them to do so, the lobby toilets are broken and they have no toilet paper, it look like a ghost hotel. never back there

On the positive side, the staff was nice and the location is good. That said, my stay has not been a pleasent experience at all. I have been travelling a lot in Asia, always on a budget staying at quite cheap hotels and hostels, so my expectations/standards were not very high for this one. Though not the cheapest I've been to, this hotel has been one of the worst: - The room needed general maintenance. The front door was for example in a very poor condition, the bathroom really needed a good calcium scrub etc. - The room was dirty (dust, spider webs, VERY dirty and disgusting toilet, bedsheet with blood on it, dirty curtains etc...) and again, I promise you that my standards as a budget traveller are not very high. - The water stopped running from time to time, so that I couldn't always wash my hands, brush my teeth, shower etc. - The wifi didn't always work, and when it did, it was very slow. - The shower head was so calcified that it was impossible to shower the first day. On the second day of my stay I got the staff to change it. They changed it to another one also way too calcified for a proper shower... - The toilet couldn't flush AT ALL. I asked the staff to fix it twice, and both times they said that it was fixed but without any improvement... The toilet was also so dirty that I felt very uncomfortable even sitting on it... I therefore only used public toilets for the rest of my 3 days stay. - There was many ants in the room and one day also a small scorpion. - The fan was very rusty, dirty and noisy. I stayed in room 102, and I really hope that these things will be improved before new guests get similar experiences to that of mine. That said, it is the only place I've stayed at in Lombok, and that I don't know anything about the general standards there. I just know that this does not live up to standards anywhere else in places like Thailand, Vietnam, Bali, the Philippines etc.
