Puri Mas Boutique Resort & Spa

Our first time visiting Bali and Lombok, we were booked in here by our travel agent. Only half an hour from the port and Lombok is beautifully quiet. Everyone says it’s like Bali was 20 years ago. We had a Jacuzzi Villa room which was very spacious immaculate and ideally situated within the hotel from what we could see. All the rooms looked beautiful although some in better locations than others. The highlight for us has to be the incredible staff who couldn’t do enough to help. Breakfast was beautiful and dinner in the beachfront restaurant exceptional with an enormous variety. My personal favourite was the dedicated Indian menu. My wife use the spa which is about a kilometre away and had several brilliant treatments. They organise a taxi to take you there and back. It was also unbelievable value. We loved this hotel & couldn’t fault it and love Lombok !! I think if we returned to this part of the world we would probably just head straight here. Thank you to all the brilliant staff.

We experienced two villa classes. Both beautiful and immaculate. Staff are predominantly Balinese. We booked extra nights. We were advised to book directly with the hotel by staff and secured even better prices. Next time i book them bia WhatsApp.

We spent 9 nights at the Puri Mas. The hotel is located on the side of the road, a 25-minute drive from Bangsal harbor. Traffic can sometimes be heard from the room, which is not very pleasant. The services are not those of a 4-star hotel. The room is large (the bathroom is huge, oversized), certainly, but the comfort is rather limited. Bedside lamp with an electrical fault, no desk/table, small wardrobe, little storage. The towels are quite old-fashioned and sometimes smell like dampness. Big plus: the water jug in the room which avoids multiple bottles and ensures you never run out. The breakfast is good, varied. In buffet form and served at the table. The restaurant is pleasant, with a view of Bali, the sea. The food is good and varied (local or international), the prices are very reasonable. On the other hand, the service is incredibly slow. 20 to 25 minutes of waiting at each meal for less than twenty guests despite a plethora of staff. Incomprehensible to wait 20 minutes for an omelet. The service is slow, and often, since the servers' English is more than limited, the dishes ordered are not the ones served. We provided the tomato juice to have a Bloody Mary... even though the convenience store across the street sells it. We only paid for one out of two as a thank you... The Wi-Fi is not very efficient. Each area of the resort has different Wi-Fi, and getting the passwords is sometimes difficult. Although on vacation with time on our hands, waiting so long at the restaurant is a real problem on excursion days... One point that extremely shocked me is the request to pay for ONE extra hour in the room to wait for our transfer to the port at 1:30 PM. Never, ever have I had to pay a supplement for a courtesy room and/or to keep my room for ONE extra hour (it was free afterward), even in lower-category hotels. The guest is not pampered. You have to repeat requests for them to be heard. The services are not worthy of a hotel of this level. No developed beach. You have to leave the hotel and swim among the fishing boats and surfers. Plastic bags, cups, in short, like almost everywhere in Lombok, plastic is omnipresent in all the landscapes. The pool is beautiful, well-appointed with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Since the hotel is small (a big plus), there is no battle for towels "reserving" a lounge chair first thing in the morning! The positive point of this hotel is its spa. The place is a 5-minute drive from the hotel; a taxi service is offered and paid for by the hotel. The place is sumptuous. A haven of peace in a magnificent, perfectly maintained garden. Services more expensive than in the spas in Senggigi but an incomparable environment. The sunsets are magnificent, with a view of Bali.
