Harcourt Hotel

I had never stayed in a hotel as noisy as this one. The infernal noise from the pubs comes through everything and prevents you from getting a peaceful sleep. It is almost my only comment since it overshadows everything else. Not being able to rest properly makes its good location worthless. This hotel is going on my blacklist.

I was let down by another hotel closing down 3 days before arriving for a weekend so picked this very last minute based on location and price and was so glad we chose here. Reception were lovely, check in was a breeze, beds were so comfortable and always plenty of hot water for a shower. We were there during a heatwave and although there was no AC we had a fan that cooled everything down. The hotel had a lovely outdoor area and great drinks , breakfast was brilliant (no chafing dishes making your food soggy!). All the confirmations say about the nightclub and more noise at the weekends so I’m not sure why people are so surprised by it? It didn’t bother us one bit and we were facing out over the music. I would definitely book again if I’m going to be in Dublin!

We stayed 5 nights and were braced for night-time noise in this popular area, however there were only the seagulls! We were very comfy in our room and the breakfasts are good. The bar is a good meeting place and for watching footie! The staff are sweet and helpful.
