Jacobs Inn Hostel

My stay here was pretty standard. The staff was nice and friendly and their service is fast paced. I would keep in mind it is not the best place to visit in the summer, as it gets really hot in the cubicles and can get stinky in the room depending on your bunkmates. You have to pay 4 euro for the towels. The womens shower is in the first floor and the mens is in the second. Had some trouble with the lockers but again the staff was very quick and helpful. You get what you get with this place, but I would definitely consider staying again, just maybe not during summer. It's a wonderful place to make friends and easy to get to, I like its location--not a super expensive/touristy part of town. Everyone was respecful.

i have incredibly mixed reviews about this hostel. they have great rooms, the beds are so nice and so private. however, the service of the workers was absolutely horrible. my friend was very sick (due to a chronic illness) and the staff literally told her "the street is a nice place to sleep" because she threw up. the bartender was also repeatedly rude. other than the service, it was fairly nice. you have to pay 4 euro for a towel (despite it saying it was only 2 euro online) and you have to pay 1 euro for each disposable cup you get from the bar. the shower is AWFUL, you have to press a button to get water and it only stays on for 15 seconds at a time. the water isn't consistently hot or cold, it alternates with no pattern. absolutely insanely disrespectful behavior to my friend. it isn't okay to tell someone that they should sleep on the street when they are sick. we even explained that she has chronic illnesses and they said things anyway. i understand that her crying and throwing up is annoying but they could've treated her with basic decency instead of being disrespectful and rude. one of the workers had the audacity to make comments on my friends diet and tell her that she's hurting herself from having pringles. insanely inappropriate.

Great location, easy bus ride from/to airport and tram at end of street to 3 Arena where I was going to a concert. 10 bed female dorm was fine, bit noisy in hallway at times.
