Thirteen of us stayed in the Croke Park Hotel on July 5th ( the night of the All Ireland semi final). There were 3 screens in the bar and several of our party at different times asked to see the Sunday Game. Each time we were refused by the same person - we could only watch soccer. A hotel synonymous with the GAA and we could not watch the Sunday Game on the night of an All Ireland semi final.
This man did not even pretend to be apologetic - his intransigent attitude spoke volumes - like it or leave.
I went to reception, spoke with Cucky who told me his colleague would go to the bar to get it resolved. No change.
The following morning I asked to speak with Mr Sean Reid. He was unavailable. I met with Kim who assured me she would refer my complaint to the relevant manager who would be in touch with me.
Ten days later still no contact.
I then wrote a letter to Mr Reid (general manager) and to date I am met with silence.
The Croke Park Hotel are at least consistent in their handling of complaints - they just ignore them.
