My family and friends chose this hotel because of my recommendation, as I thought it would be a nice place to stay. Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing. When we arrived, everything seemed fine. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. However, when we entered our room, we noticed that although it looked decent at first, the carpet was dirty, especially around the corners and beside the bedside table. The bathroom was fine, but we discovered the next morning why it had such a bad smell—the exhaust fan was not working. I reported this to the front desk, and I hope it has since been fixed. What I noticed the most was that the staff were not very hospitable. Having worked in a five-star hotel as a hotel ambassador, I understand that providing excellent guest service is essential. Hotel staff should make guests feel welcome, but unfortunately, many of the staff didn’t even smile. What disappointed me the most was that a housekeeping staff member entered our room without knocking. She simply opened the door while we were changing, even though we still had 15 minutes before the 12:00 noon check-out time. Housekeeping should always knock first or confirm with the front desk before entering an occupied room. This was a serious invasion of our privacy and made us feel very uncomfortable. I hope the hotel improves its cleanliness, staff hospitality, and housekeeping procedures to provide a better experience for future guests

Beautiful setting and the hotel was spotless. Superior room was very spacious. Very friendly staff and breakfast and dinner was 1st class. Entertainment in the bar on Saturday and Sunday night was very good. Bus available outside the hotel to take you into Galway city and back to the hotel. We also made use of the pool area. Would highly recommend and we will be back.
