Lough Rynn Castle

We are just home from my son's wedding at Lough Rynn and I am compelled to write to thank the entire team at Lough Rynn. The event was just amazing for all of us - friends and family. From the planning to the rehearsal to the pre-wedding dinner to the wonderful ceremony and then the very special reception - everything was just perfect. We have received such wonderful feedback from all of our guests and we all so enjoyed the venue, the food and all of our events. The coordination among the staff was flawless. The food and drink were so well prepared and delivered to us all impeccably well. Compliments to the chef and staff throughout the venue. The food, at every stage, was spectacular. The service was five star! Everything was just perfection, including the gorgeous weather! I only wish I had been able to stay awake long enough to join the party-goers in the Dungeon Bar as it seems that, too, was amazing! I extend our thanks to the entire staff who succeeded in making this the most perfect wedding ceremony & celebration possible and an event that nearly 100 people will not soon forget!

Stayed here recently for two nights with two other couples as it was central for us all to meet up. The setting is beautiful and the grounds especially the walled garden beautiful. We had an issue with our bedroom on the first night and were able to move rooms the next day. The sitting rooms suited us as a group to meet and enjoy a few drinks. However the standard of the food was disappointing both the evening meal and the breakfast so much so that the six of us ate out on the second night and even went out for breakfast. Don't know if it was because it was a Monday and Tuesday evening and wasn't busy maybe the main chef was not there but some of the basics at breakfast were poor with eggs undercooked bread tasted stale and of a cheap quality. Unfortunately I wouldn't return unless things improve.

We had a wonderful stay at Lough Rynn Castle. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk through the walled gardens and our room was exquisitely decorated. I felt like a princess! The bedding was luxurious and the canopy bed was draped in satin and velvet - so beautiful. The large sitting room was beautifully furnished with gorgeous woodwork and an expansive view of the property. We enjoyed our white glove dinner - served by a pleasant young man and dinner was delicious, as was breakfast the next day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the castle! A nice treat on our journey through Ireland.
