The Prince of Wales Hotel

The Prince of Wales Athlone as been advertised here on Google as an 4 Star Hotel ( see pis attached straight off their Website) and other Sites its NOT a HOTEL as their is NO BAR / RESTURANT/ NO FACILITIES FOR GUESTS WHATSOEVER ONLY BEDS !!!! The Owners have made Literally Millions of Euro on the MISERY of War Displaced People renting out this Property to the Irish State the past YEARS now they are Selling Rooms by the Day or worse !!!! They haven’t but into place the STAFF that a Proper Hotel Requires to run this type of property with All the Required Facilities that the Holiday / Business clients Require SHAME ON YOU ALL THIS FACILITY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED HERE IN ATHLONE IN 2026

We were down for a concert in Ballinasloe and stayed here ~~ 20 minutes away Excellent staff throughout the hotel Lovely clean and warm room Great craic and music in bar Lovely served breakfast Recommended — highly recommended Go go and go again

Amazing central bar, right in the centre of Athlone. We had lovely food in the bar, we were also allowed in behind the bar to take a picture of us pretending we were pouring a pint, the staff are extremely friendly especially Leon. He was very polite, he really knew how to do his job, he advertised the cocktail of the month which was absolutely stunning, he helped my grandmother out to the car as she isn’t very capable of doing it herself as she’s hitting the 90 mark.
